So let's call it a party! The venue for Ryan’s blow-out was held in MULTINATIONAL Village in Sucat Paranaque. I was a bit hesitant at first to go to the place because of the far location. But I realized how important the occasion for my friend will be and I wanted to visit the place of Auntie Pesing Rey-Rafol as well.
Auntie Mayette Rey Burgos - kept me awake all night with her prowess in FORTUNE-telling through palm-reading. Just got Lucky, she shared to me her secrets and tips of becoming wealthy and rich. She even gave me examples of Cajidiocanon’s that were enjoying their fortune because of those simple ritual/activities.
Inspiring thoughts, real-life stories, struggles, romance with her husband Captain Protacio Burgos were shared to us by Auntie Mayette while she’s driving us home with her brand-new TOYOTA INNOVA…A lot of beautiful things I learned from these wonderful persons I met in the party, one “keep your foot on the ground regardless of what achievement you already attained, life would be a lot nicer without worries and complications. Number two, work hard and don’t be satisfied with the small things/business you get. When you dream, it has to be BIG!

Candies’ and mallows. Jelly Bean’s and Gummy Bear’s. Chocolate Cakes and Cookie’s. Colorful stuff’s to remind my guests of the kiddies’ symbols on top of the main menu for the dinner. Cheesy-white sauce carbonara filled with cream of mushrooms and Italian Mc Cormick Seasoning with a side dish of young corn and broccoli veggies in butter.
This year, the couple Faina Pascual and Bong Ruado surprised me with the MAGIC Sing to add melody for my party. Faina’s rendition of STARS, her very own version, original of SIMPLY RED charmed the visitors with her SOUL and Classic style in singing. While Ness Lumagui- one of my sister’s friend –daughter of Bulacan Councilor, Mr. Lumagui exhibited her ability in JAZZ and hip-hop dance steps.
Mix of Singing and dancing talents were showcased by the two cool dudes in the receiving area. Eugene Dianco’s serious movements and Jojo Rafol animated gestures while interpreting Bob Sinclair’s “Love Generation” and Cassie’s “Me and You”.
The entrepreneur-Chris Menese lured my guest with bottles of wines while Jenilyn Galang and Jhai Perez fed the party people with the boxes of home-made puto with the cheese crown. Norman Maca and Kate Mortel sweetened the kiddie land with the Chocolate mousse and Black-Forest Cake from Red Ribbon. Sharon Calcaben should be awarded as the star of the night for her very kiddie get-up. Braided hair, old-school comfy jacket and the white and brown stripe leggings.
Madz Rey from Seattle filled me with a lot of surprises. A simple but sincere birthday card when I woke up in the morning. Be delicious body-bag of TOMATOE. Not to mention the over-flowing draft she purchased for the occasion and of course the FRAGRANCE of Dolce and Gabbana from my Cousin-Mary May (Madz big sister) and a red bag full of CLINIQUE and Ralph Lauren’s scents and personal stuffs.
Late comers- Sheryl Yap and Jordan of RESOUL (LIVE Band) arrived past twelve but dashing and on the party mode. Still on their Gig outfit after performing in PIER 1 –The FORT Global City in Taguig. Angel Jaudian just sneaked and ran since she needs to report at work on time. Jill Pineda, anticipated our BEACH Escapade in Puerto Gallera and BORACAY so she gave me a pair of HAVAYANA’s.
HAPPY THOUGHTS. Out of worries and anger. The secret of staying fresh and youthful. Things you can find from the innocent and playful kids. A THEME in celebrating my 28th birthday in our play pen at 1060 A C. Aguila Street Quiapo Manila on the 6th of February 2007.
CAJIDIOCANON’s DID IT AGAIN! Among the populous survivors aiming to hurdle the 2006 Nurse Licensure Exam. I was so delighted to learn that most of our friends and “kasimanwas” made it. GOD was indeed so passionate to our fellow kababayan’s who burned the midnight oil and exhibited hardwork for their ultimate dream.
All from Poblacion : Ryan Rey Mecadio, eldest son of Uncle Andy and Aunt Ana-Rey Mecadio; Joseph Calcaben-son of Mr. Antonio and Genevieve-Male Calcaben; Maricar Galang-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Romeo Galang and Mariciel Ramilo-daughter of Uncle Celedonio and Aunt Lucy Rotoni Ramilo- (for PHARMA Board Exam).
Chateau! The Victorian inspired interiors, bricks and grills accentuating the classic design of Auntie Pesing’s and Uncle Cromwell’s dwelling place. I was expecting for a GUARD-dog/ german-shepherd to approach us but to my surprise. Huggable-puppies welcomed us instead.
My cousin Maria from Seattle who was also on the party was amazed by the gestures of the HAVANESSE-breed puppies. She played the puppies and cuddle in her arm with astonishment. The birth certificate of the puppies was all from Saudi Arabia where the dogs were born. Chix, Pampee and Vabools the doggie’s names.
Lavish dinner was served on the table. Luscious and mouth-watering Filipino dish prepared by one of the promising CHEF’ of Cajidiocan, Ryan’ brother- Rainer Mecadio- an HRM student from Centro Escolar University. He charmed us with his hot-spicy chicken wings and the tempting PATA tim with a perfect taste of honey-sweetened and mixture of sour and a bit salty syrup.
The lovely Uy’s Sisters’ were also there singing the night away in the karaoke. Alexis, Annielyn and Beverly (Miss Cajdiocan 2006). Along with them, was Aguinaldo “Undoy” Rey who has been so accommodating and very warm in treating us. On the other hand, Ryan shared with me his joy in celebrating a wonderful life. Aside from the luck he got passing from the exam, is the supportive and cooperative relatives who stood by him all throughout the years.
My best friend Vanity Recto, set up the receiving area as the PHOTO STUDIO. Guest’s posed along with the celebrator in the colored white background with the colorful pillows and balloons in lime green and aqua blue color. Yellow lightings under the seat to make the shot more enhanced and good result for the quality of the photographs.
Multifold text messages, phone calls local and abroad and e-mails flooded me on the eve and on the day of my birthday from my friends, classmates, relatives and family. THANK you so much. For My Mom and Dad who expressed their love and support for me all the way, encouragement and motivation. And to all my officemate’s who wished and prayed for my success and happiness that my heart desires. SALAMAT!
